Allergies to DEET:
There have not been many cases or allergic reactions to repellents but there have been many complaints about DEET, many say that it has very strong chemicals and should not be applied to direct skin. A middle aged women has proof of it as she had severe reactions to not only DEET but to many other bug and insect repellent she applied DEET to her upper face and got a case of Pruritus which is severe itching of the skin and she also got a case of erythema which is reddening of the skincaused by irritation of thr skin. She has tried other forms of protection from mosquitos and insects without the use if DEET and repellents and has succeeded in some ways but overall she cannot use any substances with these chemicals
