Part 1 consists of the goal of confrontation and the commanded to confront. Pegues called it “the bridge to harmony”. The goal of confrontation is to have clarity on the desired outcome and biblical teaching to deal with issues before they get out of hand. Pegues states, “Every offense has the potential to cause a permanent breach in a relationship.” The definition the author gives for confrontation it “the act of coming together face-to-face to resolve an issue.” So building a bridge between harmony and disharmony is the focal point of this section (Pegues, 2009, p13). (2) The accommodator style is the “have it your way” approach. Setting boundaries, instead of building walls is the goal here (Pegues, 2009, p48).
(3) The Abdicator style is the “I’ll run away” approach. Judging, blaming or accusing others is present here (Pegues, 2009, p56).
(4) The collaborator style is the “let’s find a way” approach. Respecting authority and valuing other is the common goal here (Pegues, 2009, p63).

Part 3 consists of six strategies for an effective confrontation. The six processing step has their own devoted chapter.
• Preparing for the encounter challenge you to prepare for an interpersonal conflict and with the power of the Holy Spirit guides you to achieving harmony (Pegues, 2009, p69).
• Owning the problem challenge you reflect on the cause of the problem and why you were reluctant and fearful to take ownership (Pegues, 2009,
