One of the patient that Mike was working on is having problem with her legs, her doctor is suspecting deep vein thrombosis. The patient is mentally and physically disable and it was a struggle to get her cooperation during the test. Watching Mike trying to maneuver his Doppler to get a good view of the veins, and arteries that he was trying to access and take a picture was a challenged. With some nursing intervention of calming and comforting the patient, Mike finally got a good picture of all the vascular that he needed for diagnosing the patient and Mike got his work done. I thought it was pretty cool watching in the monitor how blood flows and as the machine calculate the pressure if there is any occlusion or plaque in the blood vessels.
