Sometimes in this world, when all seems black and nothing is looking up, hope is the only thing one can have in order to keep on going. Some pet peeves are absolutely enraging. One on my pet peeves happens to be incompletion. My mother has, on more than one occasion, began cleaning her seemingly tornado stricken bedroom only to get distracted by a shoe box full of high school memorabilia. “You’ll never find a better sparring partner than adversity” (Meir, Golda). Adversity is the problems or troubles that make your life imperfect and burdensome; fortunately, adversity is not invincible and can be overcome with hope (The New Survivors), power (Life Isn’t Fair – Deal with It), and acceptance (For Many Returning Vets, ‘Moral Injury’ Just as Difficult) “The New Survivors” by Pamela Weintraub describes hope and how it is essential in overcoming adversity.
