The classroom I am observing has an overwhelming amount of challenging students. Speaking to my fellow classmates, I learned that they too are observing the same problems in their classrooms. I am not sure where the behavior is coming from (family background, socio-economic status, disability, etc…), but it is definitely overwhelming to watch the children engaging in destructive behavior and not be able to do anything, and, to be honest, not to know what to do. While in Mrs. DeLorenzo’s classroom time, challenging behavior is seen at a minimum and dealt with quickly.
