Location
Anna Maria Island, also known as Anna Maria Key, is a barrier island that is located on the western coast of Central Florida in Manatee County. The Gulf of Mexico is to the west of the island, Longboat Pass is to the south, Anna Maria Sound is to the east and to the north is Tampa Bay. The entire island stretches for about seven miles from its northern to its southern tips.
