The first time I was in Dubai I visited Burj Khalifa. I got all the way to the 124th floor. It was a good experience, the views were absolutely stunning and I ́m glad I visited but what I didn ́t like is that it felt like it was built for tourists, which I ́m sure it was.
On both of my vacations I stayed at different hotels at Jumeirah Beach. On my first trip I visited all of the tourist attractions like Burj Khalifa, the Souks, Dubai mall and the waterpark at Atlantis the Palm and I didn ́t stay put anywhere for far too long. The second time I tried things many tourists haven ́t done. I went sailing in a small catamaran boat, I surfed on a SUP board, I saw the whole Real Madrid football team and I ate lunch at the same restaurant 5 days in a row. The chauffeur texted and talked on two different phones at once and when the car made a frightening sound he just put the volume on the radio up higher. But I really enjoyed it. I mean how often are you going to experience that in Finland. My mom however was too scared to even get in the car. After driving around in the desert we got to eat dinner, smoke a shisha and I even got a henna tattoo at a desert camp. I was the only one out of us six who thought the camp was charming. I mean it was unsanitary and there was a lot going on but that is a small part of the Arabic culture, which I love.
Right next to our hotel there was a small new mall. It was nothing compared to the Dubai Mall. Dubai Mall has both it ́s good and bad sides. It has something for everyone, the employees are very helpful and everything is well organized. On the bad side it was a bit too big and there was a little bit too much happening. If you want to visit Dubai Mall you have to plan a lot ahead and book a whole day just to visit a store or
