It’s dark and all one can hear is the sound of chains rattling and the sound of waves crashing around. The smell of human waste filled the room with no escape and the sound of men moaning in pain echoed all around with no sign of an end. The king laying there chained up to another on both his left and right and was very cramped up with no room to move.
“Where are you?”
He screamed out his name again and again and he cursed him for his foolish ways. The amount to shouting attracted the attention of few of the men outside. Storming into the room and yelling in a foreign language, “parar os gritos e mantê-lo para baixo.

Rushing in they grabbed a few men including the king and his friend. Dragged them from their position and forced them up the stairs they came down from. The light caught each man by surprise as it was the first ray of light they saw since leaving their homes. The roar of the waves grew louder the further up they moved. When they reached the top all they could see was open ocean and no land in sight. Struck by amazement the king did not notice the white man was tossing chained up people over the edge into the ocean. A few men walked up to him, grabbed him and started dragging him to the edge of the ship. But they couldn’t find a way to pull this man who seemed to still have the strength of a hundred men. He tugged and yanked the men who were trying to do the same with him and he managed to break free. Instincts kicked in and he started to run around the ship looking for any form of refuge but he ran into several white men who had with them
