They are what help men and women and even the gods stay strong throughout the book. For example Penelope didn't let a man take over her and her home, Telemachus takes control of his household, Odysseus returns home even with all his obstacles, because of memory of love. all these people kept moving forward because of that memory. Grief also helped them stay strong because that would keep the memory alive.
Glory and honor. What would this story be without glory and honor. Almost everyone in this book had self pride, The crew, Odysseus, Telemachus, The cyclops, The gods. The list could go on and on. In this story not only is memory a motivation to keep moving but being having honor and glory is to. For example the crew and Odysseus blind the cyclops to prove a point and to honor their men's lives, also to be free. This is an act of honor for all the men dead and alive. Odysseus returns home and is gloried that he is still strong and the man in charge.
Homecoming. The whole entire story is about the journey to get back home to Ithaca. Without the journey there wouldn't be and cyclops or winds. We wouldn't have any of these themes, because they were all formed during or because of the journey to get home. That is why I think that it is the most important theme, because without it we wouldn't even have a story everything like the memory, the grief, the glory and honor is what men and women and gods wanted due to things that happened in the journey to get back
