The French and Indian war lasted about seven years and was sparked in the colonies. There is a back story to the war with some details that I didn 't learn until I got to college. The French set up a post in what is known as Pittsburgh today; which at the time was claimed to be “owned” by Virginia. So the English tell the French to get off their land, but their is another factor at play, the Huron people believe that they “owned” the land. The Huron warned the French not to set up posts in their territory. In order to get the French off the land the Huron ask the English to get rid of the French off their land and then they would go home. Well the Huron didn’t like the English people response.

Britain post-war was bankrupt because war is expensive. In order to pay off debt the British began to tax the colonist, starting with the stamp act all the way up to the Boston Tea Party. The colonists didn’t approve of the taxes so the revolted and burned royal offices and the homes of the royal officers. If the war never happened the British wouldn’t have had any reason to tax the colonists and they wouldn 't have started to revolt against the British crown or the caused the amount of damage they
