As a member of the Spanish Honor Society and my high school’s Spanish Club, I have a passion for immersing myself into other cultures. With our country constantly evolving, I enjoy having the knowledge to keep up with the growing population. I am fortunate to live in a multicultural neighborhood and enjoy the opportunities to encounter food, music, and celebrations from a variety of cultures. For example, my neighbors celebrate Cinco de Mayo to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Puebla with foods such as tacos, enchiladas, guacamole, and churros.
