However, the purpose of shoes goes beyond functionality, as they are certainly more complex and important than given credit for. From expressing an individual’s personality to helping us reach our maximum potential, shoes are more than just the guardians of our feet. Nobody in the world is the same, as every person has his/her own qualities and traits. Shoes are utilized to differentiate each person in a simple manner. In doing so, they provide an insight on a person’s character and way of life. A person wearing 300 dollar Jordans has a different mentality than a person wearing 80 dollar Nikes. This shows the contrasting beliefs of the two individuals as they each value shoes differently. Not only do shoes showcase an individual’s beliefs, they offer a glimpse of their personality.
