I am currently pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Science with an option in Early Childhood Education as well as a minor in Spanish at Oklahoma State University. My wish is to teach Pre-k or Kindergarten. I hope to obtain skills that will help me to become a better communicator while maintaining patience, and work on classroom management. The number one key to becoming an excellent educator is learning how to communicate with people. Ways that I can carry out my goal of having an effective classroom is by having a learning environment that is effective, beneficial technology, integration of methodology, flexible teaching assessment and content knowledge.

All this means is that I need to be able to recognize that each child is going to come from a different background. Each child is still going to be able to learn the material The students that will be in my class will have various learning styles. Communication and classroom planning are just a few of the more important skills that I hope to continue to use all throughout my career. Learning how to communicate with each student is crucial, because limited communication will not help the child understand the information at hand. Being prepared every day and having the knowledge to teach children a certain topic will increase my confidence in how I see myself as an educator. I hope to obtain the skills that can influence my future students in a positive way. Those skills could be patience and understanding. By having these skills, I believe it shows that the education cares about the individual student rather than just as a student. In addition, there is also the skill of understanding medical diagnoses and handling children according to their diagnosis like ADHD, ADD, Tourette syndrome, Down syndrome and
