According to readabilitiesformula.com, 60%-70% is an acceptable range for students in 8th and 9th grade. In my opinion, the readability flows quite nicely with a clear explanation at the beginning of each section/topic, followed by examples, and concluding with exercises for the students to practice. The strengths of the textbook are definitely in the explanations and the easy to follow exercises. However, the examples and new vocabulary words are bunched together and numerous, this might overwhelm and confuse the reader. Lastly, the only other major problem that may impede some readers is that the font size changes quite often (perhaps this is due to viewing the book as an eBook).
