I grew in a family of Educators. Having a career in education has always been my goal, in fact, 10 years ago, the night before my grandfather passed away, among all other things, he shared his wish to see me as an educator. From that day, my resolve grew even stronger. Being the breadwinner of our family, I had pushed the timeline till now. As the Vice Chair of WPDI, I had the opportunity work with many local organization (s) that helps with children/adult with special needs and children/adult with disabilities(s). I volunteered in these organization to teach these basic self-help skills. This experience made me realize the opportunities that this area presented.
I have tried to inspire others by being an example to prove that with hard work and dedication one can go real far in education. By being a student at this stage in my career, I have tried to inspire other women who didn't feel they could juggle raising a family and work with school. I am very hard working and steadfast on my goals that has gotten me a 3.9 GPA. I have always exhibited integrity and passion in my work and always take my project to finish line.
