This training will take place during the school after morning routes are finished. We will compensate drivers for their time using funds from PBIS. The purpose of this training will be to teach driver how to specifically implement PBIS on their bus. This will not only reduce the number of discipline issues, but also make the bus trip a safer experience. PBIS is already implemented in the school so students will already have an understanding of the system. Administration will develop a monthly report from their PBIS data collection spreadsheet to ensure students are receiving the proper punishment or incentive for their actions. Administrators will observe bus drivers by doing a ride along with one bus at least once a week when possible. This will also help the bus drivers with learning how to handle students and talk to them in a positive manner. For this action plan, we must have all stakeholders involved to support it. This action plan is not meant to insult anyone or say that people are not doing their job correctly but to grow as a professional.
