God’s sovereignty over them can be seen throughout the various ways in which their lives played out. To begin with, Enoch was a very devoted follower, who was willingly open to the will of God. As open to the idea as he was though, he was really about the only believer with such an immense devotion in a world of corruption. For hundreds of years he was the only believer who exemplified God’s will without hesitation. His determined belief was ultimately rewarded by God by simply one moment being on earth and then the next in heaven, He was so devoted to the …show more content…
Joseph is probably one of the most important figures in the Bible that God worked through. God works through people in various ways. In some instances he uses other people's wrongdoings, so that he may enforce his will through them. He did so through the situation in which Joseph's brothers sold Joseph into slavery, because of the immense hate they had for him. God doesn't make bad things happen, but he may work through therm in order for someone to gain enlightenment. He is very strongly opinionated about the true image, and believes it should be adhered to perfectly because “THE NORM IS THE WILL OF GOD”. During one of his lectures about the true image and blasphemy, Joseph clearly states that “The Norm is the Image of God”, and this is a philosophy that he strictly upholds. “The enemies of God besiege us… they work to distort the true image… they attempt to defile the race”, “...It might destroy the divine order…”. Joseph believes that as a proper, orthodox, god-respecting community it is their job to abide by the true image and the will of God, and that anyone who does not is committing blasphemy.…

The shortened episode of Everyone Loves Raymond was very humorous and interesting. I would suspect that this type of question that Raymond’s daughter had, many parents are faced with at some time. A question as such is a very in-depth, thought provoking question for a young child. As much as I would love to know what they did say to her, which would make my essay easier I do have a few speculations on what might have been said. “if we all go to heaven when we die, why did God put us here first?”…

It is almost that this angel was so dangerous and volatile God had to put them in this position. The lead angel begs Enoch to petition their case to God to release them from this punishment and their request is denied. This also infuriated God because man is lesser than an angel. Writings like Dante's Inferno looks largely like it would have been inspired by work of Enoch. Also there are various scriptures of the New Testament that you can match up Enoch’s work with, within the New Testament.…

In the epic poem the Odyssey, Homer's main character Odysseus portrays three different roles. Unfortunately, not all of Odysseus’s characteristics are outstanding for a biblical worldview. The reason for this is because the manner in which he handles himself as a military leader, a husband and occasionally a father, is not the manner in which a Christian should handle himself. On the other hand, Odysseus’s relationships that he has with his army, wife and family are one that are mostly carried out in the manner of a Christian. It is strange that Odysseus cares deeply for his men and as well as his son, but does not seem to be as deeply connected to his wife…

Three important themes to consider when reading the Hebrew Bible are God’s relationship with humanity, humanity’s attempt to be like God, and humanity’s disobedience of God. These themes are important in any religious text because they are crucial to understanding the human condition and the purpose of human existence. Genesis reveals how God’s relationship changes because of disobedience, as well as how a desire to be equal to God motivates disobedience. This is important in how it explains the ultimate reason humans sin and how it affects God’s relationship with humanity.…

God uses many prominent people in the Old Testament who obey and listen to what he calls them to do. For this paper, I’ll be using the story of Abraham as an example of obedience and go more in details about how God used Abraham’s life because he was obedient.…
