Spiritual poverty is evident in Jesus’ presentation of the parable of the rich fool, Jesus says “…. This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich towards “God “(Luke 12: 21). In Jesus’ statement above, to be rich or poor towards God is not physical neither a material matter. However, it’s spiritual poverty for those in the community of faith when they fail to observe what the Lord of the church commands. They follow not in consonant and obedience with God’s agenda but set and follow personal agenda to suit their purpose.
