One of the many problems we are faced with in this century is driving while intoxicated. This is one of the many leading causes of death in the U.S. About 12 years ago, my great grandpa and grandma were involved in a fatal accident. They were hit head on and my great grandpa was killed due to someone not thinking and taking the right steps. By choosing to drink and drive the other guy chose to take a life that night. This is one reason why this problem has really caught my attention. This deserves everyone's time to help make a change to this. A breathalyzer is a small device that can determine the percentage of alcohol that has been consumed in the human body from just exhaling a single breath. If your body contains a vast amount of alcohol in your system your vehicle will not be able to start. This is one of the many ways to help contain this problem and ensure that people get home safely. My second solution was to assign yourself a designated driver if you plan to consume alcohol. A designated driver or DD as most people say, is responsible for driving you home safely if you are highly intoxicated. Using this method can be helpful because the person driving hasn't consumed alcohol meaning it is safe enough for them to drive. This could lower the risk of deaths caused by drunk driving all over the U.S. The last solution that came to mind was to just not drink at all. Drinking can cause lots of damage to the liver and other major organs in the human body. Continuously consuming alcohol could lead to cirrhosis of the liver, which could also cause death. My uncle recently passed away from this disease. He was a very heavy drinker and that's why I would like to strongly advise people not to drink because it causes lots of harm to the
