This charter gives Canadians freedom of religion, of thought, of expression, of the press, and of peaceful assembly, as well as the right to participate in political activities, the right to a democratic government, the freedom to move around and live in Canada, legal rights, equality rights, and language rights. The charter has a positive effect on bonding and emotional attachment to Canada so it is a tremendous part of being Canadian. As we value these freedoms and our ability to have these freedoms, giving us the ability to express ourselves in many ways which some countries don’t allow. This is what makes Canada so grand as we have such opportunity and privilege to have these rights and freedoms as Canada is known to have these freedoms and rights and without them Canada isn’t “The True North Strong and Free”, as the free part would be missing as well as the strong as with losing the rights and freedoms Canadians have, it would leave Canadian people without a voice which is a big part of being a Canadian as everyone has a voice in society with the charter. Henceforth, our right and freedoms are part of being Canadian as they give us all a right to participate in Canadian society and make us respectful to them
