There are many different theories of how the Iceman died. I have decided that I believe that Ötzi was murdered for spiritual reasons and all of the artifacts that were found with him were peace offerings. This makes sense because almost all of his belongings were about ten feet away from him neatly put there. If someone were going through his stuff it wouldn’t be so neatly put there. The reason there is a huge gash between his forefinger and his thumb might be that cutting his hand was part of the ritual. The egyptians took out organs of their mummies so taking blood before the sacrifice could of been like that. The other blood cells could of been from other sacrificial offerings. If this was a common thing he could have sacrificed others before himself. My hope for writing this paper is to help you understand how Ötzi the Iceman died.

Well, There wasn’t anyone that went through it. The Shaman of the tribe or someone of significance packed Ötzi’s backpack and placed it there. The Egyptians, the Chinese, the Aztecs and many other ancient civilizations put goods in tombs with their dead. Putting the copper axe and other artifacts next to the Iceman could of been just like the Egyptians, the Chinese and the Aztecs.
Connecting back to other ancient Civilizations, as part of the ceremony cutting the hand before the death. Some might say that it can’t be true because the gash occurred a couple days before the death. I say that they may need to take the blood a few days before the actual ceremony. If you think about it you can think of many different civilizations that took parts of their body before burial. The Egyptians put furniture, pets, and slaves in the tomb with the mummies. The Chinese put the terracotta army in the tomb in the Emperor’s tomb. Over the millennia the burial rituals haven’t varied
