Taking one person out of the picture can impact any family. Finances, schedules, support, and ambiance are just a few things that can bring down a stable family structure. As harsh as it may seem the incarcerated member would need to understand that their family misses and urges to see them, but the day to day tasks at home need to be carried out. I very well understand these words are easier to say without actually having been incarcerated myself.
An unbreakable “tangle of pathology” truly are the words that best describe the hundreds of unfavorable years “The Negro Family” had gone through. Moynihan’s solution was very well thought up and caught my attention immediately. It simply makes sense and was what the civil rights movement was all about, equality throughout races, equal opportunities, and eliminating handicaps. In a world where every person is offered the same opportunities there is no excuse for unbalanced statistics. Although we are still far from it, we have made unbelievable progress in half a
