A famous tradition in Oaxaca is its Oaxaca Film Festival. Throughout Oaxaca’s people is a lot of diversity of languages and people. One third of Oaxaca’s 3.5 million people speak an indigenous language. These indigenous languages include: Zapoteco, Mixteco, Chatino, Trique, and Mixe. Oaxacans speak over fourteen indigenous languages and ninety dialects. Oaxaca is not only diverse in languages, but people as well. Oaxaca has many traditions, but differ with indigenous people. Some indigenous traditions include: a traditional dress, cuisine, festivities, and community structure. The Mexican population includes over 50 percent indigenous and Oaxaca is home to 33 percent of Mexico’s indigenous(About Oaxaca).
Now, Oaxaca is famous for its rich culture, famous meals, beautiful sites, and more; however, when it comes education, Oaxaca is not one of the places to be.
