“The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and tenants. The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. The Park Service cooperates with partners to extend the benefits of natural and cultural resource conservation and outdoor recreation throughout this country and the world. Since we need to preserve nature in all forms and without the National Parks, nature in its purest form could not be protected and preserved for our future.
One of the most popular National Parks is Olympic National Park, which is located in Washington State on the Olympic Peninsula. The park covers 922,651 acres of land, which 876,669 acres of the land is designated wilderness.
