My book is about a story called white fang. The book is about a boy named Scott and a hybrid wolf dog named, White Fang. The story takes place in the 1890’s in Alaska, during the Klondike Gold Rush. The start of the book shows how hard life in Alaska was during this time. There was freezing weather, hardly any food, and most people made their own rules and laws. When someone died, they had to carry the body out of the wilderness because the ground was to frozen to bury them. That is how White Fang starts, two men using a sled to carry a dead man to town. But they are followed by a pack of wolves, and the wolves are just as hungry as everyone else in the Klondike. One man shoots the mother of the wolf pack in the chest and she dies. The Klondike gold rush is about prospectors mining for gold in 1896-1899.It was in the region of Yukon in north western Canada. They lived in wooden little homes. They ate berries and other foods. They had sled dogs so they can get around easier because they had to walk in the deep snow.
It was below zero degrees so they had to wear very heavy gear! Plus, they had to climb up very steep hills and slippery hills! A lot of people died in the Klondike gold rush because it was freezing like I said it was below zero degrees. If your wandering why it was freezing to death because they were on top of a mountain! If you’re on top of a mountain it would be freezing with all the snow like tons of snow. But that just how the Klondike gold rush would go on to the end.
The people that started the Klondike gold rush was Jim mason and Tagish Charlie. They started the gold rush because Jim found gold and more gold in the rabbit lake. Dawson city was their home town where they got their gear and tools and more. A lot of workers turned back so they would not freeze to death!
