The Greek god Zeus was an extremely powerful and charming god, He was very fair and open minded. Zeus was also very unpredictable as well and carefree. Zeus was also known by his roman name, Jupiter, was the king god of the Olympians. He was the father of the two gods Perseus and Heracles. Zeus was the youngest son of both his parents, Cronus and Rhea of all their six children. When Zeus was born, his dad Cronus had intentions to swallow his last son Zeus, like he did to the other five children as all five were born ;Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter and Hera. But Rhea saved Zeus by hiding him away in a cave on Mount Dicte in Crete.
Later when Zeus had grown up, he caused Cronus, his father, to puke up his siblings. After saving all of them, his brothers and sisters united with Zeus to overthrow and gain control of the universe from the Titans and his father Cronus. Having defeated Cronus …show more content…
He was able to shape shift to look as if he was any animal or human he wants to be. He could throw his lightning bolts to cause plenty of damage. As well as, Zeus could also change his voice and make himself sound like anybody he had desired to be.
He also had powers that came from being the god of all the gods. These were powers related to the government. He could give and tell any other god or goddesses any job or title. Additionally, he could also take those titles and jobs away from the gods.
He could tell any other god to do things. His was elected the position, out of the 12 other gods on the council. They could have voted for any of the other gods to be king. But never did and Zeus just never had retired.
Zeus connects to modern time as well. SInce Zeus was the god of lightning, and Lighting is a natural form of electricity. Since just about everything in our modern world is somehow dependent on electricity. Also, the romans called him jupiter, which is also the name given to the largest planet in our solar
