Introduction: Part 1: Money is power and that power can change a person completely from who they were when that money was nonexistent. Money is the root to all evil is a phrase that has much truth behind it. Cash flow may lead to one becoming very greedy. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby” is a perfect example of how money can change the way people think. Jay got wealthy by bootlegging. Jay did this illegal activity for daisy. The sad thing is that Daisy is a girl with no purpose in life.
Support 2: Daisy does end up falling in love with Jay Gatsby but ends up pairing with Tom because he is more financially inclined. While Daisy is with Tom she has an affair with Jay acting careless on how this could have impacted Tom and even Jay.
