Love is a sacrifice within itself. In the Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks, Noah is a man from a small town who was given nothing and had to work for everything he wanted. Noah falls in love with a women named Allie who is from a very wealthy family and is often handed anything she could think of. The love is strong but not strong enough to break the bond of Allie and her parents. Allie’s parents try to split up Noah and Allie and they succeed. When Allie’s family moves, Noah and Allie lose all connection. That is, until, Allie comes back to New Bern to steal Noah’s heart all over again. Sacrifice is a constant factor in love. Noah sacrafices everything he has to win Allie over from Lon. By sacrificing all that Noah has, he is showing that he is a good man with good values. As Noah and Allie …show more content…
Even though Noah knows he would get in trouble if he got caught, or if Allie woke up, she would panic and Noah would get in trouble. But he made the sacrifice to go see her anyways. In doing this, Noah was pleasantly surprised to find Allie remember who he was. Noah says “I must pass this desk to get to Allie’s room, but at this hour i am not supposed to leave my room, and janice has never been one to bend the rules. Her husband is a lawyer”(Sparks 209). No matter what trouble NOha will get in, does not matter. Noah is willing to take this sacrifice so he can spend his anniversary with his love. Noah continually puts himself on the line for Allie. He wants nothing more but for her to be happy and he would do whatever that may take. Noah Calhoun has the best morals and values of any character in this book. Time after time, he is told no and told that he should give up. Noah continues to sacrifice himself and fight for what he believes in which is Allie. Noah is someone who men today should look up too when they’re looking for someone to love. If anyone can go through everything Noah went through and still
