Faith Based Journey Research Paper

As the four guys travel through a faith based journey whether or not to answer the call to become a Catholic priest, they are recorded left and right through school and among family and friends. They are all different people and interpret their faith differently as well too. When they make decisions you don't know if it will affect their life positively or negatively. The show was very interesting because as I watched the four students undergo faith based missions to test ingenuity and find themselves in what their future holds.
My favorite part was when Dan carried a wooden cross twenty two miles through Ohio. As he was stopped by a man and asked him what his purpose was in carrying the cross. His response was mind blowing. When I heard his

Faith healing in different religions has a long history, despite the fact the practitioners and patients can encounter legal problems. The placebo effect can cause some people to heal themselves, albeit when the medical condition becomes severe and the patient refuses to consult a medical practitioner, the legal system must deal with the offenders. Antecedent to modern times, faith healing was used by people when there was a lack of medical care in the community or the distance to travel was restricted by time or weather. Curiosity about the Amish, Hutterite, and Mennonite communities is rife among the "English" as the Amish call outsiders. The religious orders are an enigma to most people because little is known about these people.…

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” (2 Tim 4:3 NIV). How can postmodernists state positively or hold as “true” that there is no absolute truth as someone’s claim (reality) that there is a God? Perhaps this philosophy confuses opinion (as an individual sees things) with a truth. “The hopes that modernity had underscored the triumph of “Reason” and “Science” that many thought would bring in utopia, have failed in almost every respect” (Zacharias, as cited in Carson, 2000, p. 26).…

Christ has called us to go and make disciples in His name; he wants us to go and share the saving the Gospel of His name so that others may find eternal life. Our job does not just stop at showing others the Gospel, but stretches far beyond sharing and into the realm of discipling new believers in their walk with Christ. It is my philosophy that when discipling a new believer, you will have to develop personal specific plans for the new believers. There are some basic principles to fallow when it comes to discipleship, which has been shown to us throughout the Bible, we should fallow when working with a new believer.…

My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…

How My Faith Defines Who I Am Faith: having a strong belief in a religion, or an even stronger belief in a God. I personally believe in God the Father, and that he created each and every one of us in his own image. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sin and brought us new life through his death and resurrection. In my faith I stand as a Catholic, which means I believe in only one God. Before the age of 14 I never really considered myself to be a religious person. Although I grew up in the church, my parents always forced me to go. Therefore I never really paid attention to what was being preached. One Sunday I went to church with my grandmother and the Reverend introduced a female pastor who gave a captivating sermon that caught my attention. Her story related to mine so much that I thought she was talking directly to me.…

Some churches offer free meals or events for everyone to show the hospitality of Christians. It is important to welcome newcomers and care about them. For my other religious experience I had the privilege of attending a friend’s Catholic wedding. The church was everything I expected it to be with tall beautiful stained glass windows and sturdy wooden pews. Even though the church was in the middle of downtown Nashville, I felt as though I was in some peaceful little town in the middle of nowhere. The whole experience was more of a shock than I was expecting; I knew that mass would be different than attending my normal church, but I honestly had no idea how different it truly would be. When we walked into the church, it was hard not to notice the giant white candle lit in the middle of the aisle way; my family nor I had any idea as to why it was there.…
