I remember when i was little my father did not let me watch this type of television not even The Simpsons which i considered less harmful for the viewers. Now i understand, i wouldn't like for my kids to watch none of this. Is insane, is not educational, it only gives the viewers a cruel talk of race, sex, vulgarity etc., and this is what the kids are watching and learning. This show should be taken out of the T.V. It is not appropriate for anyone, and unfortunately this is what people like. Offensive humor is done by letting the viewer believing the joke is actually talking about something else or is the person who is supposed to be laugh at (Sienkiewicz & Marx, 2009).There are many individuals who after hearing the song condemn these lyrics as being powerful enough to incite a rebellion, whereas others will view the song as a satirical statement of the U.S. government operates today (Ricke, 2012). In her article “Family Guy and Freud: Jokes and Their Relation to the Unconscious,” Antonia Peacocke discusses how those who watch the show Family Guy should realize the creators’ jokes should be viewed as what they are intended to be: a harsh reality rather than crude. Peacocke argues that when taken at face value, Family Guy’s humor could potentially be considered offensive. Instead, the creator Seth Macfarlane intelligently uses satire to mock American culture. The article is overall effective with one minor weakness. The article gains a majority of its effectiveness from the author providing her own personal experiences to help the reader relate to the topic at hand, and by pulling examples straight from the show to back up her argument.…

Exactly why do cartoons always fall into the category of ¨kids’ stuff¨? What could be the reasoning behind this stigma of being cheaply made and poorly written so that only a child could enjoy them? It is outrageous, really, because animation does not necessarily have to be treated that way. In fact, as of the last few decades, there has been a sort of renaissance with animation wherein cartoons are given higher budgets and better stories that could parallel even the best live-action media. Cartoons are being treated not just as entertainment for kids, but as entertainment for anyone and everyone.…
