Everyone undertakes a mission at one point in their lives. Many people have different missions than each other like, sometimes for achievement or even the care of others and they do this usually to complete their goal in life. This essay is on the novel The Other Side of the Sky by Farah Ahmedi and Tanim Ansary and the essay New Directions by Maya Angelou. In the novel by Ahmedi and Ansary, the main character was Ahmedi and she had a mission to achieve to get to a better life in Pakistan. In the other essay by Angelou, the character Annie, has to find a new life for her and her kids, so she does by selling meat pies to workers. Ahmedi and Ansary states in their novel, “You never know when you will encounter a spot of human decency”(13). This is important because it shows that on there long path to Pakistan they found some nice people that would help them get to where the need to go. In the article by NASA, it states “Human space exploration helps to address fundamental questions about our place in the Universe and the history of our solar system”(1). This shows that NASA will do a lot to find the answers to people main questions about what's out there. This shows that in the novel they will achieve to leave their country from the Taliban in search for a better life in Pakistan and do it without paying money. Next NASA states for finding the unknown, “The intangible desire to explore and challenge the boundaries of what we know and where we have been has provided benefits to our society for centuries”(1). This information was chosen to represent find the unknown because it shows that NASA is making new technologies so that they can get to this unknown object or place so the can explore it.
