The bogeyman is a make believe character that goes around to everyone's beds or closet. It makes people overreact and makes them run in fear, which can be destructive. This is like in the book lord of the flies when they get scared of the so Called beast. And so there by making fear a destructive emotion. One way fear can be a destructive emotion is it can make you less logical. “the beast was on its knees in the center, Its arms folded over its face” (Golding 152-153). This shows fear is a destructive emotion because they are killing the beast out of there fear, which makes it first of all not right second of all it makes them more destructive. Another example of fear making people less logical is when in the book “Lord of the flies”
