The term “Votes for Women” was coined in 1872 when the British women were determined to fight for their rights of being treated equally to the male gender. These women eventually were able to receive their rights of voting and therefore make it possible for the women of the twentieth century to exercise their right to vote. Even though this right has been given to the women of now, they still face hardships and unequal rights then that of men. For example, the women of our times now are fighting for the right of equal salaries, equal acceptance and equal opportunities that men have but women do not.

I would like to see more equality within these areas of inequality. Such as the same salary or even the small things of not being judged for being a mother that lovers her children but if the world continues to make all these views the different roles on gender then nothing will be able to change and therefore the only way this can change is if people are able to change their mind-set of the different gender roles.
There are numerous of ways one can come about changing the mind-set of the citizens of the world. For example, people of importance that the world values can give their views about the problem in seminars or small workshops to make people aware of what is going on and give pointers on how these issues can be addressed and put an end to.
My example of a woman who works hard and still is able to be an amazing mother to her children is my mother herself. She has been discriminated by many men for always putting her children’s needs before her own. Not one decision is made by her before she thinks about her children’s well-being before her decision is made. She is also the breadwinner in the house as the male in our home is without work at the moment and so she brings home all her money just to make sure we are able to
