Based upon personality, expertise should be well established, where the advisor goes beyond the general knowledge of the field, but actually, “ have wisdom: the combination of knowledge and experience” ( TIME:??). Consequently, experience and knowledge allow for adaptation of the volatile industry and key planning of strategy. Thus, building trust is the next characteristic of a financial advisor, as trust leads to transparency both of which allow me to understand better which, again, is the main requirement of an advisor. Also, having creative decision making and better customer understanding can lead to me investing more, as my finances are being handled in a way I understand and can control. Furthermore, this will prove his attentiveness as his continued work in keeping me informed is his attention to how well my finances are working.
In essence, the ability to make me understand is key for the financial advisor I would select. Being able to hone in on this skill means the advisor has transparency, expertise, attentiveness and conscientiousness.
