Inspiring a shared vision is something that I have really worked on throughout this last semester, and is now one of the biggest leadership traits that I feel suits me best. When I first started the class, I thought that having a shared vision meant that I had to give up my thoughts and ideas in order to please others. Putting others before myself because toxic in my daily life; from buying people things in order to pursue a friendship, or even making sure people were taken care of before I made sure I was safe and healthy. I learned quickly that you must support yourself mentally in order to provide for others. In one activity, we had to create a project to present to the class, and my group was the first one to go. We had no examples to base our ideas off of, so our group was working individually, but trying to push our individualism all together. I knew that we needed to work together in order to create a project worth presenting. We began by asking for each person's ideas and their plans on how the project should go, and we all learned that we may have had different ideas, but our main goal was all the same; to create an interactive presentation that a class would enjoy. By working in groups and even working by myself, I learned quickly what leadership was like and how the Five Leadership Principles are incredibly important in being a healthy leader for all. Although all five are important, by the end of our class I knew that I was best at inspiring a shared vision and encouraging people's hearts when I act as a leader. I believe this may be due to my big goal of making sure everyone smiles, and by doing that, slowly changing the world. Each community needs and deserves a strong leader with even stronger followers, and I believe that one day I could be a leader that someone or something
