Fatal injuries for a football players
After catching a brown pigskin spheroid ball than getting hit with the force of what feels like the mass of a truck and being knocked out cold.Then minutes later being thrown back into the jungle by medical officials.Then getting hit by another truck over and over again.That's what the life of an NFL player is and have been since the beginning in 1920.Yes, of course the game has been revolutionized and there have been evaluations of equipment and rules.Even though that has happened something's has not changed.Things like advantage and disadvantages of the game,Some advantages being stable financially,having fun,being taught life lessons.Some disadvantages being of course, sore/hurt,time-consuming,and …show more content…
Now if a player gets knocked down and the mechanism of injury is such that the head hits the ground and they stagger when they get up, the team physician and athletic trainer will pull that player out to be evaluated.”Football safety does get better with time which is great.But the question which finding out is,Will the safety get as good as it needs to be?Who knows,nobody but time will tell,we all hope it doesn't take forever. Without a doubt football is the most popular sport in North America and arguably the world.So its a must to keep it here and not just because it has to be,but because everyone loves it and want to watch it every Sunday on sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays. t like a child they may not know how real it is until they experience it, which is unfortunate.When it's a major injury, it can make or break someone.It has been many athletes that have bounced back and came back stronger,those are special players.those who don't come back back from the major injuries are usually expected not to by many.Some may be their coach ,fans ,and owner which is the worst because then you're useless to him and the team.So not only do the physical injuries but also mental,without a strong mind it can break an athlete down.therefore there needs to be a change so less players will have to deal with that.And it will be awful for the game and the profession to stay the same and not make any progress.The numbers right now are showing no progress, players are still getting hurt and tore apart just like they were years ago.Though it may not seem like it,but NFL is making an effort to make changes.The NFL has agreed to fund as part as a $30 million donation for NIH brain injury study.Because of no effect from the money put in for research,consequently the NFL received great flak from many people including fans.They wondered when the change and progress would occur,after a while people wondered if it would ever.After a while, many called the NFL’s statements and acts upon the situation just a cover up.The “New York Times” once called out the league deeply flawed concussion research.The Times says the NFL omitted 100 diagnosed concussions from its supposedly
