Task 2 Unit 11
Four main tissue types
Epithelial tissues
One of the main tissue type are the one that characterize the epithelium .The epithelial tissues are used as cover for the all of our body surface both internal and external .Our epithelium it is formed by cells tissues that are one cell thick which make up the simple epithelium and from cells which are two or more cell thick which make up the stratified epithelium.
The Simple Epithelium is made of
Example 1) Squamous cells: which have a flattened and thin form with their nuclei which is elliptical due to their form .They make up linings of blood vessels, heart, lungs and even our skin?
Example (2)Simple Cuboidal Epithelium : have a cuboidal …show more content…
Connective Tissues
The connective tissue are as well in the group of the main tissue types and they are used in our body to allow connections between our body organs and even other tissue .Also they function as a storage of energy and provide protection for our organs .There are two main parts which constitute the connective tissue which are the cells widely separated from each other and the matrix which is the structure of support of the cell formed by fibers and the ground.
Muscle tissue
Muscle tissue are the most plenty tissue in many animals and humans .They make up our muscles which support our body integrity and can contract and relax depending on the movements that our body is making .They are composed by muscle fibers and many microfilaments which are made of two proteins called myosin and actin which make possible the contraction of muscles .Therefore the muscle tissue have striations which allows the muscle tissue to enlarge and shrink while we are making movements . Their nuclei instead are located on the edge and they are shortly separated from each other to better control the muscle tissue .The muscle tissue are mainly found in our cardiac system …show more content…
The neurons which are called also as nerve cells are formed by the cell body which contains the nuclei and by the dendrites which are several processes of the body cells that receive and transmit electrical impulses to the adjacent neurons. So we can say that neurons works in the nervous system as sensors of different stimuli such as heat ,cold and pain that our body can feel but also as transmitters of electrical impulses .The Neuroglia instead is not a sensor of electrical impulses and not even a conductor of them and its functions varies depending on what type is .An example of neuroglia is the Astroglial cell called also Astrocyte which we can recognize from its name as it has a star shaped form .Some of Its function is to provide nutrient for the neurons ,help them to migrate during brain development and remove excess of neurotransmitters
