Here's what happened, so on August 28, 2009 my siblings and I was helping my mom and her job volunteer to reconstruct a families home. Me being a person that absolutely loves food I was excited about going out to eat after finishing the project. So as we finished i had to run to my moms car to get my shoes. Not knowing a car was coming, I guess cause I didn't look both ways like my parents taught me. I just ran across the street and SLAM!! There I was laying in the middle of the street in pain. All at once everybody had something to ask me. " Sophia are you ok?" "What happened?" "OMG, what happened to your tooth?" I am kind of happy that all these people actually cared about what happened to me. I had the complete wrong mindset about why all those kids stared at me.
As I got use to everything, the year actually got better. Before I couldn't even write I had to have a teacher right for me. I didn't feel independent anymore, I didn't think I could do anything. But as the year went on I gained the ability to write again and everything went great. I became more comfortable with the humongous gap in my smouth and I embraced it. After it was all said and done, fourth grade was a great year. I faced my fears and learned not to even worry about what somebody else thinks about me.
Embrace your flaws because you are always beautiful inside and out. Everybody has some type of flaw. Don't worry about what somebody else thinks. As long as your soul is beautiful, it doesn't matter what you look like on the
