We were close by to the Franklin Park Zoo front entrance and the Golf Course Club entrance. The trees that kept out any source of light was ahead, and all the street lights that lit our way was behind. We walked pass a large parking lot filled with suspicious characters. There were females who wore light short dresses and pants, males were large coats and baggy clothes with their hand in their pockets, others drinking, smoking, and doing who knows what. Even my dog Sophia, who loves being ahead, was close making sure she stayed near me. As we made it passed all those people, a car appeared in back of us. We continued through the woods as hundreds of trees surrounded us. There were absolutely no more walkers in the area we were. Walking in the dark gave off an eerie feeling. Almost the same feeling you get by walking through a graveyard on Halloween. The only light to guide was the flashlight my dad had just taken out. The howling wind and rustling trees were making me very nervous. All the while it felt like someone was falling behind us. Sophia could sense it and started to walk at a faster pace. At that point, I was upset at myself for not following my intuition and heading back when I head the chance. Being in a pitch black park even if it was still 7 was dangerous now that the sky gets darker earlier. My dad had reassured me that “nothing would happen would happen as long as you’re with me.” I wondered how he could always be so sure nothing would happen. Since we were close to the place we entered, we all took a side path that leads to the street. We were back near the two streets that lead to our house. A while after the guy that was behind us came up the same path and headed back up the street. He had messy white hair, ragged clothes, and hairy face. However, he didn't look like someone who was homeless. As strange as it seemed for him to come down our way only to go back up the street
