How many of you all would be here today if racism in America existed? Would you be living the life style you currently live in? Would you be granted the opportunity to walk down the street in a white neighborhood? Would you be able to say that you were allowed to participate in an election were a black president was running? Or would you be eligible to go the county or clerk’s office to apply for a voter registration card without being denied? Racism is a controversial topic that would illuminate blacks and other races (i.e. Hispanics, Latinos & Mexicans) from achieving their purpose of envisioning a dream. Blacks were always being mistreated. They were beaten for no reason. The property of well-established black ancestors were destroyed if you looked at a white man different. The hate that was evolved developed in to an enormous amount of radical measures that affected our ability to perform certain actions. Since the 21st century, slavery has been demolished and we have projected positions that we would not be granted the opportunity of being allowed if we were in the phase of racism in America. Tyler Perry recently was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Tuskegee University. He gave his philosophy on how to accomplish your dream and being able to sit before others who struggled to accomplish their purpose. Racism in America would not have given him the opportunity to be allowed to present a play of how the whites were treating our ancestors during slavery. The vision he saw was destined to educate, empower and encourage Americans of all color to see how others were treated. The stereotypes that were once the enlightenment of the pass continue, the dreams and vision that we have accomplished will only be perceived as
