Girls would feel embarrassed to want a John Cena action figure rather than a Ken doll because of the for boys ages 6+ labels on the box. The media believes in gender based toys which leads to kids believing that boys that play with dolls are girly and girls that play with dinosaurs or other boy toys are tom boyish or unlady-like. This is typically what creates gender stereotypes. I believe manufacturers should change this by putting out more boy barbies and pink power rangers and promoting gender neutral toys so further generations won't fall into the cycle of thinking that the action packed, outdoors toys are just for boys and the cooking
