My personal purpose of what work means to me an individual is; A duty which is consists of a variety of set skills performed by individuals to receive income to support their needs as discussed by Morin (2014) but significantly their family. Morin (2014) stated that “Work is, above all, an activity through which an individual fit into the world, creates new relations, uses his talents, learns and grows develops his identity and a sense of belonging”. Which I strongly agree that work is just not work, but it is a duty that is being performed to illustrate individualism talents, an opportunity to develops and advance unique knowledges, creates new distinctiveness and using it as a powerful tool to succeed in life. We were also interrogated whether homelessness begging on Rundle Mall, busking on Rundle Mall, and a mother comforting her child was considered as work. I personally consider them as work because, homelessness begging on Rundle Mall is a duty that they are willing to perform for their day-to-day survival. Busking on Rundle Mall is work because performance without talents and compassion is not busking just as work is not work without its set skills and illustration of talents.
