Gender Stereotypes To Compete In Sports

Girls are entitled to play the same sports as boys. This generation is about equality and what are we teaching if we separate genders. Not as many girls play sports as boys do and I think that if we made more sports co-educational then more girls would have the motive to do sports. Competing against each other would bring out more passion of working harder for girls. This integration would prepare both genders to work in adult life where nothing is separated. Many more girls would compete in sports if they integrated them. Girls are very competitive and competing against boys would make them want to work harder. They are just as persistent as boys if not more. If girls were to compete with boys they would try their best to succeed instead …show more content…

The girls at our school were forced to run with other girls who were a lot younger, therefore, not as fast. The girls were not allowed to run with boys of their age. Running with those of our age will push us. Running with younger girls, and I know from experience, gives more leeway and doesn't push the older girls as hard. You may say that the chance to run with older girls would push the younger girls to work harder. The opposition to that is, the same effect would result if those younger girls were running with the boys of their age. The result of co-educational sports would be many more girls competing in all sports. Boys and girls could use their strengths to their advantage and push the other. Both boys and girls would be pushed faster, and as a result, be better. Isn’t the that what sports are meant to do, push you to be your

Co-Ed sports teams consist of athletes of both genders. These types of teams are typically only available for the younger kids, but what if it was an option for the older players too? Having the option to play co-Ed sports could be a massive push in the right direction for both the children involved, and the reputation of the school promoting it. The school would likely be the only one in town offering the student athletes a fun and healthy way to learn to work with others, relieve themselves from stress, and learn to have mutual respect for others no matter your differences. Co-Ed sports teams could be a great way to learn to work with others, help them make friends, and a healthy relief from school stress for everyone.…
