As Germanics tribes in the West and in the East invaded the borders of the Roman Empire a cultural diffusion was emerging. With settlements in both the East and the West Germanic, people adapted some of the institution that the Roman had during the glorious years of the Empire. For example, the laws that were incorporate for German and Roman were written in Latin, the official language of the Roman Empire. On other hand, Theodoric, the king of the Ostrogoths, declared himself as the emperor in the name of the Roman Empire.
