When I first started playing tennis I started at the position on 2nd doubles, to me I took it as that I was not good enough to play against an opponent by myself on the court. Which was entirely true, because when I began playing I was not any good whatsoever. I didn’t know anything at all from the rules of tennis, how a game is played out, to how to hold a tennis racquet. One can not play tennis on their own so I would invite the girls I was close with on the tennis team to go to a park with a tennis could to play. Whenever we regularly started meeting up we began asking the other girls on the team and soon we had everyone show up to practice even when we did not have an official scheduled practices. During these unofficial practices, we would often be lost on what we should do or how we should we start the practice, this is when I assumed the role of a leader. I would suggest doing the stretches first and those who failed to agree, I would reason with them telling them how important stretching is for the body before playing a sport. I did not want anyone to injure themselves just because they didn’t do a simple thing like stretching. When stretching was done we stood around not knowing how to go about practicing so that we could become better. I took charge and told them that since there were two tennis courts, those who needed to work on their serves would take turn practicing on court one, and those who needed to would better on being able to keep the game going, and work on receiving the ball effectively would play on court
