Goals and dreams are virtues that most people lack. Humans give meaning to their lives, and to their futures by creating goals and dreams. In Of Mice and Men, the main characters George and Lennie dream to own a little farm of their own. In the story, the two main characters seem to always have each other. This is a central part of the novel because George and Lennie are always together at a time period where everyone seems to be on their own. George and Lennie demonstrate in the story without goals and dreams, life is an endless stream of days that have little connection or meaning.
