Grammarly And Safe Assignment

Improved Essays
The assignment was to write a description of my experience using Grammarly and Safe Assign. I must say that I was quite surprised by the experience. Although, I made an attempt to paraphrase Grammarly still corrected my paragraphs for grammar mistakes. I enjoyed how fast Grammarly works as oppose to Safe Assign. Safe assign takes hours for the results to post. I do my best to avoid plagiarism and take academic integrity seriously. The Walden Student Catalogue (2004) defines and reviews what Plagiarism means. Walden takes plagiarism seriously and does not tolerate plagiarism (Walden, 2016).
Being an older student, I am not familiar with today's technology such as Grammarly and safe assign. When I first attended nursing school years

This is my first experience using Grammarly and Turnitin and it was remarkable at how quickly Grammarly displayed corrections and suggestions for my work submitted. For this artifact, we had to analyze Wendy Guerra’s 2006 young adult novel Everyone Leaves. Before completing this essay, we learned about various concepts related to the novel, including the bildungsroman genre (which is closely related to the coming-of-age genre except it explains a character’s maturity after a dramatic event in their life) and the author’s hometown of Cuba. We then brainstormed different themes for the book, which were related to the essential questions of this artifact: “Why do people leave?” and “Why do people stay?” I think Mr. Smith assigned this artifact to demonstrate how literature not only connects to history, but also helps us not to repeat it.…

English Composition I taught me a lot about myself, including how to be a better college student, through the process of writing. At the beginning of the year, I was not very excited about having to write argumentative papers. This is because I did not care enough about the assigned topics to have an opinion. But, I did learn a lot that I would not have known otherwise from having to research information about the topics I chose to write about. For example, in paper #2, I wrote about the niqab and how I believe that it is oppressive to women.…

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
