The Ferguson shooting happened in August 2014 in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident involved was a white police officer named Darren Wilson, who shot a black eighteen year old, Michael Brown, who was unarmed. According to “usatoday.com”, a myth stated is, “Wilson stopped Brown because he was a suspect in a robbery.” This statement is incorrect, the truth is, “Wilson did not know Brown was a suspect in a strong-arm robbery that happened moments before the shooting. Wilson stopped Brown and his friend for walking in the middle of the street. Police say Brown struggled with Wilson in the car, then reached for Wilson’s weapon. Brown’s family and some witnesses say Wilson killed Brown as he raised his hands in surrender.” The response to the Ferguson shooting was uproarious. After a candlelight vigil, people started riots shouting, “We are Michael Brown,” near the site of the shooting, according to the article named “Ferguson Shooting Aftermath” on “The Washington Post.” This story is not directly related to racism,
