Giving life a value in terms of dollars might make more sense to someone than valuing life in terms of a spiritual and impactful nature. In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Hamlet is miserable the entire play because he feels sorry for himself and is upset by all of the unfortunate events that have happened to him and feels life is a “tragic story” with no happy ending. Whereas someone like Roger Ebert still manages to see the bright side of things even after all of the bad news he has heard regarding his own life. I believe life is a journey, but it is not about how the journey went along the way that gives us a reason to determine how a life can be valued. Perspective is everything, whether a life is deemed worth one million dollars or one hundred dollars, every life is ultimately worth the same in the end. No one person should think they are above
