The theme for this classic book is that we should not follow rules set in front of us blindly, we should think for ourselves. One of the clearest examples of a damaging system of rules was the family rivalry between the Shepherdsons and Grangerfords. Huck was able to learn the insides of the Grangerford family. He became friends with their son, Buck, when the reader is introduced to Buck you can see his motives are just to harm Shepherdsons. When asked if he wanted to kill a man (Harney Shepherdson) he answered yes.…

Warriors Don’t Cry really let me see into a time I had an idea about, but never really could understand the real struggles people were facing at this time. The book was very easy to finish because I really wanted to know what would happen next. It grabbed my attention so I would want to keep reading, and I was disappointed when I finished it. The very first time that I read about the terrible situations that Melba went through was when I was hooked on the book.…

Frederic Henry had major changes throughout the novel. His attitude towards the war, Catherine, and friends had all changed significantly. One could argue that he didn’t pay much mind towards the war he involved himself in at first, but once he did, he became less enthusiastic about it as he became more aware. Eventually, he started to care more about a woman with whom he became increasingly interested in. His feelings towards the war and his feelings towards Catharine had a negative correlation.…

In this book I learned that no matter who you are, you don’t need a label or nickname to be guilty or to be treated differently, just because of the nickname or label they, people put on you. In the end of the novel. I loved how S.E. Hinton ended the story with going back to Ponyboy starting to write the essay because he was remembering how Dally acted so cold hearted forward everyone when he got out of jail but he believed that he couldn’t be happy no more because of such bad memories he had. But they prove Dally wrong but also it was to late because he got…

It’s a town filled with farms and the whole county goes to the same high school. Most people that lived close together know each other, yet the friendliness that is given and received is just a social norm that people felt like they had to follow. In reality, most were bitter and gossiped about how Steve did this, or Rachel didn’t show up to church. Simple, stupid things that in the long run mean nothing, however without these high school-like characteristics, they would find themselves lacking any real content to discus. Then there’s me, at four years of age I will start my first day at Pinebrook elementary school, a school surrounded by rows of corn as far as my eyes can see coming over the bridge towards the…
